Biography

Anne Christensen was born and raised in Denmark, growing up amongst the rugged landscape and ferocious oceans surrounding the country.

After completing high school she moved to London, United Kingdom, to pursue her lifelong dream of being surrounded by all things British.

Adjusting to the big city was tough, but with support from friends and family it turned out to be an invaluable life experience. It was also the beginning of a continuous fascination with the many different creatures of the night, and the doors to her future were opened.

After several years living and working in London, she returned to Denmark to complete her degree in design and tailoring at the Alexandra School of Tailoring. The compact curriculum was an intensive crash course in innovative design, intense colors, unusual fabrics, pattern construction, fittings, and several fashion shows. While attending school Anne also created the opportunity to design and produce complete outfits for a reputable jeweler as well as a prominent politician.

After completing her design degree in 2002 she was the proud recipient of several grants and honors, such as Alexandraskolens Legat, Det Obelske familiefond, Fælleslegatet, Roblon Fonden, Gurli og Paul Madsens Fond. These grants made it possible to move to Los Angeles, CA in August 2002 to release a wedding dress collection for The Bridal Suite on Ventura Boulevard.

Moving on to new challenges she spent four years at Margi Kent Studio as the Pattern Designer, assisting in creating the private and stage wardrobes for legendary artists such as Stevie Nicks, Neil Diamond and Gloria Gaynor.

Anne Christensen is still living in Los Angeles and is currently pursuing her ambition to work with couture face masks and corsetry for the nocturnal crowd.
